My second Ferguson book and it was so good!   The romance is a little different than most romances..think you’ve got mail, but good.  I was slightly disappointed there wasn’t a character named Cameron.  Well worth the listen…just a good romance.

I liked the premise, the idea of a relationship between the author and secret editor. But it was just too silly to imagine that Savannah didn't know her boss was the editor. She was also such a doormat with her family and was constantly putting herself down as not being good enough, etc.. It's hard to call this a rom-com when there's only one kiss scene, nearly on the last page of the book. And there's a serious overuse of 'mirthful' and wayyyy too much inner monologue, I'd say half the book we're in Savannah's head, which was frankly tiresome. I also have no idea what she looks like, perhaps it was mentioned early in the book but I have no clue.

Yeah, I liked this book. Was it predictable who her mystery editor was? Of course. Was the whole, ‘we should write a book about this called “Meet Me in the Margins”’ cringey? Yeah, but what can you do? It’s a nice story.

This is very much a cozy romantic read. Straight up wholesome. It is exactly like the Harlequin movies that are mentioned a few times. The plot is very obvious and no spice at all except a kiss at the end.
