I am LOVING this universe and Arc and how we are getting more of him. How he is wanting to find his own human. The humor in this story breaks up the serious/heart breaking moments. I also love how the book sets up other characters for their own books.
Arc is such a likeable character while at the same time being totally insufferable lol not quite sure how they managed to get that perfect balance. And Samantha just ended up fitting in perfectly with everyone.
I also completely love the relationship between Arc and Drak and Arc and his team. It feels like a family. Like we are watching a whole world unfold around us. And I completely love it.

Loved this one. Alkorin is my kind of male lead and each book just makes me so excited for each side character's chance in the spotlight. There's definitely darker themes in this series, so check content warnings before reading.

I enjoyed this book better than the first one. The narrator is very good.

Loved it! I've been wanting to read this story FOREVER. The character art alone has intrigued me for a while. I can't wait to dive into the next book that continues their story.

I really wanted to LOVE this book. The characters, the found family, sexy-funny-bad-boy wants innocent, delicate flower girl, underworld crime ring, pseudo-stalking, I mean, I could go on.

It's all still really good.  I enjoyed it. I didn't feel like DNF'ing, BUT I just felt like there could've been more or more done with what was given. IDK *sigh* this is what happens when I hyper-fixate on an author. It's kinda like when you haven't been to a Taco Bell in a year, and when you do finally go, it tastes amazing, but if you go back the following week, it's straight toilet fodder.

I'm trying to say that this book is still great; I will rec it to all my fellow sci-fi monster fckrs, and in the meantime, I'll take a break and come back refreshed.

I read this faster than I read the first book, I always like it when companion books use characters from each one to take to the other and I loved Arc, even from the first book. I can't wait to read the next one.
