I generally try to read at least 50 pages especially with fantasy books but uhhhh this just good IMO. Calling it a star stick felt like something that was a place holder for a real name for the item. The writing just wasn't for me. I didn't care about any of the characters. I'm disappointed cause I was so excited about this book when Alex was talking about on tiktok. At least the cover and page inserts are really pretty.

THATS IT??? THATS HOW IT ENDED????!!
i have to say, there are quite a few things that i didn’t find original or creative in this book. such as, the fact that oro and grim we’re basically tamlin and rhysand, except oro being rhysand and grim being tamlin. if you understand what i’m saying. and isla was feyre… towards the last 100 pages, it was becoming pretty predictable when it came to the plot twist and the heart, pretty much i guessed the ending in the last 150 pages of the book.
i also want to say that i didn’t really understand the magic system, or the way that the curses were formed or any of the magic, in fact, at all. i feel like if there was a little more planning towards world building, then it would have made a 5⭐️, or even a 6⭐️ read.
however, i did enjoy alex’s writing style in the book. i found some parts to be lyrical in a way, and i really enjoyed that. i also think that she did a pretty good job with descriptions of characters and the world. i was able to imagine fairly well the entirety of the story.
all in all, i think that this was a great read, however i suggest going into this blindly. i should have mentioned that in the beginning, but i don’t really have the energy to fix it. lol. i think i’m excited to see the movie when it comes out, but idk… i somehow think that the movie could possibly be better than the book…
