3.5 stars - Rounded up due to the outstanding narration by [a:Joel Leslie|13846511|Joel Leslie|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/m_50x66-82093808bca726cb3249a493fbd3bd0f.png]
After absolutely nailing it with [b:How to Bang a Billionaire|31423483|How to Bang a Billionaire (Arden St. Ives, #1)|Alexis Hall|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1488428154l/31423483._SY75_.jpg|52115149], [b:How to Blow It with a Billionaire|31933324|How to Blow It with a Billionaire (Arden St. Ives, #2)|Alexis Hall|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1503651928l/31933324._SY75_.jpg|52588156] was a little bit of a let down. I was really rooting for Arden and Caspain to get their shit together and for things to start coming together (no pun intended) between them, even just a little bit. Instead we get more time apart, more arguing, and more secrets. BOO! Now, I understand that this is sort of the transitional portion of the trilogy that will ultimately set up the final conflict and, fingers crossed, resolution in book 3, so I can see why the author wrote it this way, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I have to admit though that my frustrations are just with the direction the story went, and not with the story itself, which as always with [a:Alexis Hall|7032108|Alexis Hall|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1533751064p2/7032108.jpg] is well written and captivating. I will absolutely be reading book 3 and crossing my fingers for a HEA for my beloved Arden and his Caspain.

I haven’t touched this in a month. I’ll probably start over once I have the time

4.5 stars. This was great, even knowing exactly how it's going to end (it says right there in the title). Great characters although Arden is really the star - it's all told from his POV and he's a treasure.
He's becoming more mature, Caspian isn't quite so opaque, Ellery isn't as annoying. Looking forward to the final book. I'm curious how well this follows FSoG but not enough to put myself through the torture of reading those books again.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️/5
Format: ebook
“I trust you. With the worst of me, as well as the best, and all the squishy ambiguous bits in between.”
Ouch. This one hurted. Think Fifty Shades Darker but gay and British and, like, actually darker.
I loved this book. Not as much as the first, and I did debate between giving this 4 or 5 stars but eventually settled on 5. Arden went from being empowered and knowing his worth to kind of whiney. But honestly he’s babygirl and I love him no matter what. His inner dialogue continues to be iconic and everything to me.
I liked Caspian a bit more this book. Until like the 85% mark but that’s pretty standard for love interests. They tend to be problematic for the sake of the drama. I feel like the first quarter, if not half, of the next book is going to be heartbreakingly sad before getting happy again. I can’t wait to let this series completely ruin me.
