Typical free book. Cute love story.. a bit over the top in the "action sequences".

Grade B/B-

Over enjoyable short romantic suspense with likable characters and interesting suspense plot. A few unbelievable plot choices hold it back from being really great, but it's definitely worth reading. I've enjoyed everything I've read by this author so far.

Pretty good action. Romance not bad but I don't believe the relationship will last very long after the end of the book.

Brylie Winston and Marcus Devlin, two strangers in the night that pass said night in a bout of wild passionate sex. Brylie sneaks out while Marcus is asleep and goes to her job as chef on a cruise ship heading to Antarctica. Marcus wakes up and instead of being relieved that Brylie is gone, he decides he needs to find her. Only first he needs to show up for a cruise to Antarctica, his family’s idea of punishment for doing something stupid. To his surprise, Brylie is his employee. They set off and the excitement begins.

Marcus wakes up to find Brylie gone. He misses her. Later in the day when Brylie discovers hottie Marcus--her hook-up from the night before--is actually her boss, she knows this voyage is going to be trouble. Brylie’s got more reason than office politics to be wary of a relationship with a silver-spooned snowboarder who has the power to fire her from her job as head chef aboard a tourist ship to Antarctica. When Marcus’s family sent him cruising on one of their ships to keep him out of trouble, they had no idea the danger they’d sentenced him to.

I did not care for the characters at all. Marcus seemed like your typical rich guy.

This is a Kindle free book that I randomly downloaded when I was playing with my new Fire. To be honest, I had low expectations. So I was happy to get sucked into the plot and find myself really enjoying the story. I found a lot of poor editing (stupid typos) and I thought it ended rather abruptly, but overall, I quite liked it :)

This book was entertaining but not really anything more. It is a quick and easy read. The characters are likable. I found it entertaining but I wanted more out of it. I felt like the author told me how the characters were feeling and didn't show me.

All in all it was a well written book that kept me entertained. It was quick and easy.

This book certainly was an entertaining adventure! Not really my style, but I enjoyed it for the most part. What I really would have loved to see done differently was all the plots pulled together more cohesively. As it is it goes pre-pirates/post-pirates/pre-rescue crash/post-rescue crash, then the end. But wait! The romance! Let's throw a HEA in there with a pretty bow on top! Although, I'm not sure if there is even a HEA… there's no declarations of love or anything.

But yeah, it would have been nice had everything flowed together better. It wasn't bad though! Just after the pirates ordeal was resolved it felt like I was reading a completely different book with the same characters. There were pacing issues after the pirate ordeal as well, but I think that's my issue, because it felt like the book should have been done there (think it was at the 56% mark, but don't quote me on that). It felt like it was dragging on and on. This was an enjoyable book nonetheless. And the author certainly knows how to do action and suspense. I'm glad I read it, but I'm glad I'm done with it. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, if you love romantic suspense in unusual locales, it doesn't get any more unusual than Antarctica!

Reasonably fun-to-read action/romance about an antarctic cruise where anything that can go wrong, does, for each transportation mode utilized.
