This series is definitely a different writing style from her Patrik Hedström novels. I struggled with it through The Gilded Cage but not as much with this one, but I’m hoping there’s more to come from Fjällbacka in the future

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in return for an honest review.

Silver Tears by Camilla Lackberg was a thriller about a high flying business woman who is trying to protect her family and her business. It is dark and mysterious and as she finds out more and more about who is after her business she takes exceedingly drastic steps to stop them

I liked this book, but I thought there could have been more to it. I enjoyed the memory lane trips the book took and how that explained the main characters motives.

This book is a power fantasy. A woman who becomes a millionaire because make-up. She's rich and cool and pretty and confident. She still manages to fall for the same silver-tongued losers, though.

I actually enjoyed the book. I hated the ill-treatment of servers and waiters, but aside from that, the book was very entertaining.
