Not exactly what I was hoping for. While the constant unraveling of the twists had me shocked occasionally, it was still pretty slow to get through. The book could have done with some more editing and the characters needed to be just a little bit more consistent. I felt like they flip-flopped on a dime, which as a reader, gave me whiplash. The twists at the end came all at once, some genuinely shocking.

Everyone in this book is HELLA sketchy, and most of them are just plain terrible.

Idyllic island off the coast of Thailand and hot young travelers looking to escape their pasts under the facade of a life of leisure. What could go wrong?

Not going to lie, I was here for this. A twisty, trust no one, full of red herrings type of read that I just crave every now and then. Was it a bit predicable? Of course. Was the writing the best? Of course not. But I throughly enjoyed it.

Looking for a mindless, last minute end of summer thriller? Read this book. Planning a trip to a secluded island in Thailand for a full moon party and some diving? Maybe wait until you get back.

Good summer mystery with some great twists! It took a little bit to get going and was similar to other duel-perspective mysteries that I have read but still kept me interested and was an enjoyable read.

This book started ok, then out of nowhere does a twist that really had no business being there.
It's like introducing a new character on the last episode of a show and you find out it was the main character all along. No red herrings, nothing, incongruent story stitching because you don't hear that voice until the epilogue. And the reasons were flimsy at best, you don't find out much about why. The other "secrets" were ridiculous and page fillers.
The original rating I had for it was a 3, but that epilogue dropped it to a 2. Really?
