This was a ton of fun to read. The pod are a group you want to be friends with so badly, and I appreciated the casual inclusion of so many different folks without preachiness. I wish this was a series!

What started as a silly adventure actually became quite heavy and emotional. The characters were all so lovable, and I loved getting to learn more about them and their connections as the story progressed. There is also such great representation of different identities that I did not expect to find. The ending was so lovely.

That was a lot of fun. Vibrant colours mixed with a whole lot of adventure and discovery. The human world, it's a mess. Tagging along with these three mermaids was all smiles and I would read more from them. You go girls.

I loved how inclusive and diverse this was, and the art was stunning!! However, the story just didn't grab me unfortunately.

A hilarious adult graphic novel from the author of Snapdragon (famously one of my absolute favorite children's graphic novels)! Three mermaids accidentally become literal fish out of water when they drunkenly decide to go on land...without knowing how to get back. There's fun adventures, found family, learning how to fit in, and in Kat Leyh fashion some really excellent casual queerness. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun summer graphic novel!

I loved the artwork and colour palette in this graphic novel, as well as how diverse the cast of characters was. The story was also good, adventurous but also character-driven; I just wish it had a little more happening. There wasn’t a lot of world-building around mermaids, but what we did get was unique and interesting.
