I liked this one just sliiiiiiightly less than the first, but still really enjoyed it. I’m a sucker for a sad man and good banter, and Tessa Dare delivers.

5. A joy to read! I loved Alexandra and her logical, intelligent brain. Her being into astronomy was so fun to read about, and I loved her intellectual curiosity and her way with the girls. Her learning how to connect with and earn the trust of Chase’s wards was great. I loved how real both of the girls (and Alex’s own memories/trauma from childhood) were. I’m excited to read more in this series, though I’m not sure I’ll love any of the ladies in the friend group as much as the astute, stubborn, and resourceful Alex.

Delightful. I loved every single thing about this. It had me laughing and giggling and swooning. So obsessed with how cute Chase is with the two girls. I loved how witty and fun his character was. Alexandra is amazing as well.

An incredibly funny book, especially aided by the secondary characters.

Like most Tessa Dare, this is funny, sweet and low on the angst. I would have liked a bit more groveling but that's just the kind of person I am.
