What a stunning cover! I was immediately drawn into the story, with the old Hollywood references and intrigue of Frankie uncovering family secrets. I enjoyed the Cape Cod setting and loved how the main characters were connected to Mitch and Glory. However, the big secret was a bit drawn out, and when it was finally revealed I had lost a bit of interest. The ending was a tad too clean for me, as everything seemed to resolve much quicker than the build-up. Still, this was a well-written, engaging novel!

This was an interesting take on Hollywood starlets & their mystery’s. I wish that the husband had come to the truth faster than he did but it made so much more sense in the end. It’s a slower novel but the back and forth in time really has things making a lot of sense.
Also so glad that society has moved away from being forced to do everything by a man’s will. Glory would’ve been alive if she wasn’t forced to stay in the Cape; letting her depression eat her alive.

A Summer To Remember is serendipitous and charming. Set in a coastal town surrounding a movie festival, there is family drama, mystery, secrets and a little bit of love all while using the pizazz and dazzle of old Hollywood.
Special thanks to SMP Romance for the finished copy ❤

This one wasn't for me. I just couldn't get into the story or get invested in the characters until almost the end of the book. I honestly wish I had my time back. Not to say it's a bad/terrible book it just didn't do anything for me for the majority of the story. People looking for a light summer romance full of family secrets and nods to old Hollywood might enjoy this more than me.

I received an advanced reader copy of A Summer to Remember from St. Martin’s Press via NetGalley, in return for my honest opinion.
A Summer to Remember by Erika Montgomery is a story about family secrets and overcoming grief. Before Maeve’s sudden death last year, Maeve and her daughter, Frankie, ran a memorabilia store in Hollywood. Frankie comes across a photo of her mother with a famous celebrity couple- Glory Cartwright and Mitch Beckett. Frankie sets out across the country to the Stardust Film Festival to determine how her mother knew this legendary couple and why she kept it from her.
Louise was one of Glory’s closest friends and has been running the Stardust Film Festival since it’s inception. Louise’s marriage has hit a rough patch since her husband’s retirement. As long buried secrets are revealed, Louise and Frankie’s lives will become more entangled with one another.
This was a quick, easy read that took a while to get into and had a few surprises thrown in. A Summer to Remember is available today, May 11, 2021.
