** thank you netgalley + Atria books for providing me a arc of this book!**

I personally will be “DNF-ing” this book.

I started it back in may and I’ve yet to finish, everytime I return to it - I just don’t feel connected.

That’s not to say it is horrible, I will give it a 2 star rating, it has potential and maybe in the future I can go back to it, start over and maybe I’ll love it but unfortunately that day is not today.

I love Elena Armas’ books, this one I’m just having a tough time to get through. I will still recommend you read this and don’t take my opinion as a reason not to - this is just how I personally feel.

This was great. Everything I love in a romance, with not only cute animals but cute kids too!

It starts out enemies to lovers, but doesn't really make a strong case and abandons that pretext pretty quickly. The hero basically has zero flaws and wants to fix the heroine's low self-esteem and anxiety.

*mild spoilers ahead*

The main characters start acting couple-y about halfway through the book, but don't even KISS until about the 75% mark. Most of the book is them talking about their feelings and internal dialogues of how perfect the other person. It's just so unrealistic for how late 20-somethings would actually behave.
