Can’t rightly put my finger on it but this was a bit of a miss for me.

God what a beautiful ass coming together as friends to lovers. I love love Jasper and Sutton so much. Seeing them at different stages in their journeys but never hesitating for each other. God they love each other so well. It's deep and it's kind. I genuine love their story so so much. Thunder and Lightning.

Sutton (26) and Jasper (26)
Best friends to lovers, double bi-awakening, small town.
Gotta admit I’m not a fan of either of the MMC names.
After the very sad prologue, this was off to a great start! Damn, I wish my younger self had guts like Miranda orchestrating that threesome!
Their southern hick talk was kind of annoying. Very brokeback mountain.
I thought it was cute that they were both inexperienced when it came to this situation and they both experimented and figured it out together.
I think Sutton and Jasper are soulmates. I loved them together but the book was lacking something. Maybe it was the writing style? Was I bored? Maybe just their southern accents. I found myself skimming a lot. Had this been longer, I might not have made it through the whole thing.

7 spicy scenes. 2.5🔥

3 stars is a reflection of my enjoyment and not the quality of the story. I should have chosen a lighter story for my current mood, but I couldn't go past a new Riley Hart book.

This book is exactly why I’ll always love the best friends to lovers trope. Sutton and Jasper’s relationship was everything. The small moments and all the details they remembered about each other and the times they shared had me swooning so hard.

This is not my first book by Riley Hart but it’s definitely my new favorite. I absolutely love her writing and she hit this one out of the park for me.

Jasper and Sutton have been best friends since they were kids. They do everything together, including living together and running a business together. Their lives are completely intertwined.

When Sutton starts to realize he’s in love with his best friend he pulls away, afraid it will destroy their friendship. Jasper takes notice pretty quickly and is terrified he’s in the process of losing his best friend.

I loved everything about this book. It’s full of so many heartfelt scenes but at the same time, they were hard earned. This book has angst, bi-awakening, confusion, family drama and deals with homophobia.

I really appreciated the way Jasper and Sutton tried to communicate with each other the best they could. Sutton was so patient with Jasper and so understanding. They were also both so extremely loyal to each other.

I love these two so much and I just know they’ll be taking up a permanent residence in my head now
