As someone from the State of Hockey and who is a big fan of hockey, I couldn't say no to this book. Loved that it was set in Minnesota! Plus I read it when I was really truly getting into the sport with my dad during the pandemic so I'll always have fond memories of the book and the time I read it in.

It was cute and fun, but nothing too great about it. The only thing that bugged the crap out of me was how the guy would run his finger down the girl's nose all. the. time. Like wtf is that? It felt like the frequency of it increased over time and holy moly did it annoy me. I don't even get how the gesture is supposed to be romantic.

Honestly it was good plot for the most part and I liked it. It was worth the read and I think I will be looking to get the book in a physical copy. I just liked that she put herself first and set the boundary like books with boundaries like that make me happy.

I loved this book so much. It made me sad when Ethan and Lilah weren’t together. Then when he came back, it changed everything for them. I did like however that Ethan gave space to Lilah when they broke up because it got to open his eyes that he is a good hockey player with or without Lilah and it gave them some time away from eachother to be apart and focus on themselves. The ending was great when they finally got back together because Lilah couldn’t be without him.

The shock when I read that Lilah and Carmen have a half sister. I did like that the three of them spent time together and got to know eachother and spoke with their dad.

Overall I loved the romance, their connection, the love they have for eachother…either for the wrong or right reasons. They were eachothers good luck charm

This was actually my vacay book back in July when I went to Rome, but I had ample time to read and try to get into this book. I couldn't, I hated the characters and I just couldn't relate to them. They were very 2 dimensional. It could have been a "me" thing and not a "book" thing but like, it wasn't working for me at all.

Usually I would never forgive a guy who leaves the “love of his life”, especially one who ends the relationship over the phone, but Ethan might have won me over.

Parental intervention and reverse psychology sometimes causes unintended consequences.

Nevertheless, how many millions is it worth to be in a LDR?
