Back to being hilarious

I was a bit worried about continuing the series since the author appeared to have been running out of jokes, but this one went right back to the level of the first one. I finished it in a couple hours and it was difficult to put down. I'm sure the neighbours thought I was losing my mind from all the laughter they surely must have heard.

Sadly, the most boring one of the saga so far. It mostly felt like a slow prelude for the last book, or an interlude between the happenings of the previous piece of the story and the Big Mystery that is presented (and I hope the next book will finally tackle).

The sign said:
Hold stick near centre of its length. Moisten pointed end in mouth. Insert in tooth space, blunt end next to gum. Use gentle in-out motion.
‘It seemed to me,’ said Wonko the Sane, 'that any civilization that had so far lost its head as to need to include a set of detailed instructions for use in a packet of toothpicks was no longer a civilization in which I could live and stay sane.'

The above excerpt is just something that I chuckled loudly at while reading. Douglas Adams was one hell of a brilliant guy who combined humour and scifi.
I still need whatever stuff he smoked before sitting down to write these books.

Yet again wishing I could crack out the .5s here. 3.5 fo sho. Still very fun in its tone and delivery but definitely a slightly unnecessary instalment. Arthur’s girlfriend was fine?? I guess?? But I missed the usual cast of characters and while it was cool to get back to earth after all that time, we were there for a little too long I fear…

my favorite book in the series so far, but that's not saying much. I enjoy this series, but I don't plan on re-reading this series. I'll listen to the radio series sometime though. "we apologize for the inconvenience" really got me
