After reading the first three books in the mistborn series, I ended up loving the world building and metal magic.

I didn’t expect to like it as much when I found out it had entirely new characters as well as guns and steampunk kind of vibe (it’s just not my vibes) but was a great read! It was so interesting to see the world developed and powers evolving.

This book contained so many action scenes and the mysteries kept unfolding. I’m pumped to read the next one :)

Well this was fun! I throughly enjoyed this next phase of Mistborn. The characters are lovable, the world has changed so much, and the mystery is full throttle. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I’m sure there are people that would absolutely love this book. I’m just not particularly fond of stories set in industrial revolution time periods, and I really don’t enjoy books where the protagonist is a cop. TRIGGER WARNING:
while not depicted, the main motivation for Wax to save the women that have been abducted is that he finds out they are likely being sex trafficked. He does not find them in this book and it is implied they will be forcibly bred to produce Allomancers.

Always a big fan of what this man can do and I'm especially keen to see how he develops this fantasy society with modern technology and the different religions!

Wild West heroes and villains meets steampunk. There are some great references to the first Mistborn trilogy; it’s so interesting to look at the same universe hundreds of years after the rebellion.

I loved Wax and Wayne, but I wasn’t a huge fan of Marasi. I thought it was a little creepy that she was his super
fan and studied everything about him. And she wasn’t very interesting like Sanderson’s other female characters; she wanted to be in the action, but she was timid and scared of everything. I hope she gets some character development in the next book.
