Wow. I’m not really sure what to rate this one - or what I even thought of it. I was feeling unwell a few days ago and decided I wanted to read something light that I could easily fly through - something that didn’t require a lot of thinking like a complex fantasy would. The Mummy Bloggers certainly provided.
I struggled with some themes presented in this book, and I didn’t agree with some things. However, it was very entertaining and I found myself reading in every spare moment. Needless to say, I can’t help myself and I will be picking up the next book!

I picked this book up as part of The Works 3 for £5 deal just before lockdown. I knew it would be one of those easy reads that would help me escape a little. It did just that - and more.
The story follows three parenting bloggers, each with their own style and motivations. Or do they? They all seem to fall into the trap of chasing likes and increasing engagements. Working in the social media field, a lot resonated with me. Also following a fair few influencers like this over the years it felt very familiar ground.
It was really interesting delving into the lives of these women and how their actions were affecting them and those around them.
Easy to read, semi-escapism and in parts, food for thought.

I really loves reading my first book by Holly Wainwright. Not only did this make me laugh, gasping in shock and make me think about all my parenting moments, it left me turning the page and continue to read. The drama surrounding parents is so real and I think every parent needs to read this because at some stage we all want to proceed with the perfect life but deep down no one is perfect!

This was okay, but not great. I didn't connect with any of the characters and the writing style wasn't my favorite.

This was a fun, quick read. It was a satirical look at women and blogging with three characters - the stylish mum, green mum and working mum. I liked that it didn't take itself too seriously but still shared important messages about social media and how its impacts isn't always about "connection and authenticity" but can be dark, staged and show the terrible side not only of bloggers but also their followers.
