I love this series! It’s emotionally destroying me though, I was sobbing at both volumes so far

Good continuation to the story. Made me cry again though not as much as the first volume.

Reading this in public was a mistake. I like how it shows the way people live on through others even when they aren't in their lives anymore, and the lasting and rippling impact they can have. It also hurt me deeply.

Oh my. This volume just ripped my heart out! The mysteries continue in this volume and I can't wait to see how things shape up in the next volume, but I hope my heart can take it!

I thought the last volume wasn't "too heavy" but I wouldn't go into this without making sure you're in a good space. There were some big gut punches in this volume. It's all starting to add up to something grand now. The story seems thoughtfully planned ahead and I like when it reveals something that makes me flip back in the book to revisit what I missed or see how details were intentionally omitted for this effect. It's refreshing in a genre that can feel written by the seat of its pants a lot of the time. I just wish I picked up more volumes!
