I listened to the audio version of this book via Hoopla. I mentioned this in a previous review of Made To Love, book 2, and discovered the same thing in this book featuring Denise.
Basically, book 1 had Greer sounding like Miss Corporate America unless she was talking to her girls. To put it bluntly, both Denise and Trevia sounded more ratchet than anything else. Book 2 had both Greer and Trevia sounding like Miss Corporate America, and Denise was the ratchet one. Suddenly, in book 3, all three ladies were Miss Corporate America and were only sounding ratchet when they were together or with their men. Code switching going on for days.
Now I'm not sure if this was described in the ebook, or this was just the way it came across in the audio version. It was just something I found to be interesting.
On to Miss Denise, the loan officer. That woman was out of control. She and Nyles from book 2 needed to hang out. She wanted to jump everyone who crossed her path.
I have to admit that her behavior in the tattoo parlor was surprising, especially with her starting a new business. Even Haasan was concerned about it. I had to wonder why he wanted this crazy out of control woman. Especially seeing how she seemed to put him in the booty call lane at first.
My mama always told me that people should not mess with a short, black woman. Denise proved her right time and again. Then there were the times that she seems so rational. Lol. Surprising considering Denise's mother was a hot mess in her own right.
This book was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I absolutely did not expect the twist that was thrown into the mix. Of course, I knew something was going to happen, but not that. Not in a million years did I expect that.
I would say that this book was the best of this series for me. That twist and what occurred afterwards made a major difference.

"Real Love" by Alexandria House is an enthralling contemporary romance novel that captures the essence of finding love in unexpected places. The protagonist, Diane, is a relatable character whose journey from the ashes of a tumultuous divorce to a position of stability and strength is both inspiring and heartwarming. Diane's past, marred by a con artist ex-husband who left her financially and emotionally drained, sets the stage for a story about resilience and the power of self-recovery.
The introduction of Hassan, a talented tattoo artist, into Diane's carefully balanced life brings a delightful twist to the narrative. Their initial encounter, sparked by a fiery exchange at the bank where Diane works, lays the groundwork for a relationship that is as unexpected as it is captivating. The denial of Hassan's loan application ignites a tension between them, showcasing House's ability to create dynamic and engaging interactions between her characters.
As the story unfolds, Diane and Hassan find themselves as business neighbors, a situation that allows them to see each other in a new light. The development of their relationship is a testament to the idea that love can be found in the most unlikely places and under the most unusual circumstances. House skillfully navigates the complexities of their growing attraction, keeping readers engaged and invested in their journey.
What makes "Real Love" stand out is the character of Diane. Since her introduction in the first book of the series, her hilarious and lovable personality has captured the hearts of readers. House's writing ensures that Diane's banter and unique personality shine through, making her a character that readers can't help but root for. Her pursuit of a happy ending feels deserved and satisfying, thanks to the rich character development and the genuine connections she forms along the way.
Overall, "Real Love" is a delightful read that combines humor, romance, and a touch of drama to create a compelling story. Alexandria House's talent for creating relatable characters and engaging narratives is on full display in this novel. It's a heartwarming tale that reminds us of the unexpected ways love can enter our lives and the importance of being open to new possibilities. This book is a must-read for fans of contemporary romance and for those who enjoy stories of personal growth, resilience, and the joy of finding love against all odds.

I was hoping for some type of adversity for the couple to go through and overcome, but I was not expecting that plot twist! Whew chile! Please review trigger/content warnings: child abuse, sexism assault, fighting. And Denise didn't have to beat that old lady like that, lol. The second half was a lot more entertaining and wrapped the series in a pretty lil bow! Though smashing in a tattoo parlor, hot!
