This book is the very definition of meh. Might have been the bad audiobook narrator, but I could not get into this, no matter how hard I tried. Should have been right in my wheelhouse, but it was soooo meh.

Even though the beginning was boring, the ending was fantastic. I loved this book!

A waste of a good photo album.

Loved the atmosphere, the setting, the set-up, and the story behind the author collecting the antique photographs strewn throughout the book. Started out gripping and creepy but lost a little steam mid-way through and then I think even though the action was ramping up, it got a little bogged down character-wise to the point where they were all "peculiar", but I would read a name and go "...who? Oh right!". I would definitely read the sequel, though!

Strange. Creepy. Confusing. I love books that throw me for a loop! The pictures is the book really put me on edge and I got that thrilling chill of turning to the next page. I couldn't even really describe it if you wanted me too. It's just... an adventure through time.

Not wanting to give away to much, I'll talk more about my experience reading the book, than the actual book. The first 75% of the book, I couldn't put it down. I found myself sneaking in a few pages as a reward for when I finished chores, or a couple of more before I left for work in the morning because I just had to see what happened next. However the last quarter of the book kind of dragged on, and as other have said, left you hanging. I'll definitely read the next one though, because I'm assuming there has to be a sequel. THERE HAS TO BE.
