This was a fast-paced, entertaining read. It’s a great book to read whilst lying on the beach or by the pool. Aspiring actress, Belle gets invited on a trip on a private’s yacht by her best friend, Summer and her sugar-daddy boyfriend. However, this boyfriend is super controlling. This book is told in the past and the present and tells the story of how this holiday turns into a murder investigation. It also goes into how the girls become friends and how their friendship changed over time. It kept my interested throughout and I enjoyed the characters. It’s fun and suspenseful and takes you into the world of the crazy rich! I really enjoyed this book! (4.5)

Very breezy read. Mix between Below Deck and a murder mystery. While I love a beach read, there seemed to be too much going on.

I LOVED this book. The flashbacks pieced together so nicely, and although I did spot a major twist early on, there were several I was genuinely surprised by. The FMC is so relatable and enjoyable, and I loved Amethyst, too.

PROS:
I listened to the audiobook for Lion’s Den, and really enjoyed the narrator. The story was also very intriguing, and it was fun listening to the story. I don’t know if it’s just because I haven’t read many mystery novels, but I didn’t see many of the twists coming which is always good in a mystery!

CONS:
I felt like even though the story ended, there were so many characters that didn’t get a conclusion. Like another chapter could have improved the ending of Lion’s Den a lot. Without spoiling, I also didn’t like one of the characters I was supposed to feel bad for, which wasn’t the best.

CONCLUSION:
Definitely worth a read! I would also recommend listening to the audiobook!

This is a gripping and unputdownable book which has pulled me in and made it utterly impossible to put down. I have loved this book, initially attracted by the cover and this is a new author for me but it’s been fab. I’d definitely recommend this one.
