Back in Skane with no idea what was about to happen. It was a bit difficult to follow the duel timeline (flashbacks) at times in the audiobook but that may have been me not concentrating!

Janna is a girl with a wild but broken heart, who longs for adventure. As the story progresses you see more of her life and how her choices are products of her experience.

Things don’t go according to plan and Janna is thrown into an adventure of a lifetime going North to the mountains (where none have returned from). She finds friendship and her true purpose as she goes along her journey.

The ending broke me and left me with a bitter sweet ache in my heart.

I loved being back in this world. Lisa's writing is beautiful and evocative and really draws you in. I adored Janna and Enja's story, the exploration of their shared grief, and their journey outside the village.

When i read this, i didnt know it was a prequel so I read it as a standalone. I loved Lisa Lueddecke's writing style, I found it easy to connect to the story. I loved it so much,
especially the poem at the end of the book

Not me spending the majority of the book thinking this was queer because the male love interest has a traditionally female name in Norway heh. Out of curiosity I checked, there's 9 men called Sølvi in Norway to 3487 women as of the time I'm writing this
