I didn’t want to finish this book but I hate not finishing books so I stuck with it. The ending gave some redeeming properties, the men in the reverse harem helped a little. But Kitten is annoying. She’s written like she’s a toddler. At best the mental capacity of a 6-8 year old? And it gets weird because of that…

This girl is made to be street smart (she’s not), but it’s eluded she is super smart and taught herself everything she would have learned in school, all the way to graduating high school level of smarts. Even has a photographic memory.

And yet… she quite literally doesn’t know what an orgasm is. Because that would never have come up, in any reading she apparently had done.

I generally dislike the virgin trope anyway, but paired with the extreme childlike behaviours of this girl, it was just icky.

I really couldn’t get past that concept of the book. Had she just been written like a badass street smart girl… it would have been so much better. She’s coddled like a young child by the love interests. I don’t know it was just weird.

This was recommended to me by a friend and wow I am glad she did. I fell in love with this story after one 1 page . Kitten is so strong I love how she see the world and the people in it. The boys are so cute with her all smiles and wanting to spoil her.

Great series started

Interesting start to the series. I love the juxtaposition of innocence and passion. You won’t find steamy scenes in this book, but lots of love. Well written and I look forward to book two.

Thank you SJ for recommending this series to me. This was a fantastic read. It is similar to The Ghost Bird series by C.L. Stone. Except instead of 9 guys, there are 8 guys after one girl and they are wolves?. The heroine, Kitten, was a strong character. I found that she has some of the same qualities as Sang from the Ghost bird. She is sweet and funny. I thought the guys were perfect. Just like Sang, I want all the guys for her. Right now my favourite guys are Finn and Tristan. However, I am always prone to change my mind. The story was intriguing. The ending was amazing. I can't wait to read book 2, Keeping My Pack. Overall, an amazing read.

25% in and can’t bring myself to finish this. The fmc is so obnoxious that I can’t even enjoy this book. Also, the child like antics and behavior come off as weird/annoying instead of endearing if that’s what the author was trying to portray. It’s a no from me, sorry.

This book started out well, but quickly went downhill. I liked the unique aspect of our heroine being homeless. And it makes sense that she wouldn’t necessarily know the same things as someone who didn’t grow up homeless and went to school.

But her character is contradictory. She’s constantly complaining and throwing fits when the men assume she doesn’t know something, then she turns around and has no clue about things she should know about. Especially if she basically grew up in a library, as she claims, and she has perfect photographic memory. Instead, she makes mistakes that make her seem like an idiot.

I also wish there would’ve been a note in the description about how this is a reverse harem book. I’m not a big fan of those, but my main problem is that there are EIGHT lovers. Two or three would’ve been plenty... but eight?! That’s ridiculous. I had a hard time keeping everyone straight, even though the author tries to drill unique characters into our heads.
