I'm trying to read diversely and read more characters that have lived experiences different than mine. Weirdly I find some of the best examples of diverse characters to be in YA books. This book had a fat character (who I did identify with) who was also Ace (not an experience I identify with) so it's always nice to read new life experiences.

There was one point where the main character's anxiety caused her to be annoyed at her mother (I think that's who it was) and she was just mad that her mom wouldn't help plan and commit and the annoyance ran straight into borderline rage and I know a lot of people won't find that believable or will find it very strange but I have had that exact same experience happen so I was able to entirely relate to it.

Overall cute little read with interesting characters.

Sweet young adult romance. I feel like having Felicity's internal monologue will help some aero/ace kids who are trying to figure it out too. LOVED her mom LOL.

3.75 out of 5: I really loved the rep of this book and this descriptions of the ace spectrum. I love the build between Felicity and Nancy. There was times I had to remind myself that Felicity was 17 so a lot of us had similar behaviors at that age. She was a little self absorbed and selfish, but she does have growth at the end. Nancy was my favorite though I feel I need a friend and partner like her to bring me out of my own head. Still sweet read about growing into yourself and what you need to do to take care of you and breaking internalized phobias.
