Fullmetal Alchemist is the story of the Alphonse and Edward Elric. After an alchemic transmutation gone wrong, Ed and Al are on a mission to get back their original bodies. This is one of my favorite anime series and I'm really enjoying finally reading the manga.

As we saw end of last volume, Ed finally makes it home but he's not so happy to see his father there. There's a LOT for them to talk (or not talk) about. Most of the volume is focused on the group in Central and Ed. There are some appearances from the homunculi, but this volume is more of a recovery from the recent trauma kind of volume than an action packed one. The group definitely needs a break to recover. That being said, the volume ends with a lot of action, so the rest for the group isn't that long!

While the meeting with Hohenheim is not satisfactory, Ed realizes that he didn't really revive his mother, and that Al's body still exists somewhere and he's not dead (and that Izumi didn't revive and killed her own child). Now Ed needs to talk to a homunculus and he tries to lure them by exposing himself to Scar - who is back into killing state alchemists and about whom we know he might've killed the Rockbells, Winry's parents.
