Wasn't sure this would add much since I lived through the publication and saw that movie, but found this very satisfying. Can imagine people decades from now getting a great overview of both the investigation and this culture-shifting moment in history. Lots of characters involved, but never becomes confusing. You can feel the tension and fear. I was surprised to see this end with the Blasey Ford story and that felt rather tangential to the main story, but do ultimately think it added a lot of information and context for her decision and the testimony. What a period to have lived through.

As someone who was deeply impacted by the Me Too movement (as many women were), I felt a deep connection to this story. I loved that this was a story about women written by women. The unfolding of the story that brought down Harvey Weinstein had me on the edge of my seat, even though I was familiar with the NYT story and how it all unfolded. I loved how they presented the story, and I was glad that we got to hear from so many women who were affected by Weinstein. It was harrowing to hear about how scared all of them were, and I applaud them for their bravery. The sections of the story about Christine Blasey Ford were also interesting, but it didn't have the same impact for me as the part detailing the Weinstein story. It almost felt like they belonged in two different books. Still great and worth the read.

She Said is a challenging read that reminds us why we always need to raise our voices in the face of injustice. Told beautifully and narrated fantastically, it’s a book I won’t forget.

Similar to the classic journalist book All the President's Men, this is really a story of the process and work the reporters did to break the Harvey Weinstein story.

At the best parts, the book is riveting and gives wonderful examples of the nuances and details the reporters had to navigate. Other times, though, it just gives too much information for the general public to enjoy.
