Man this series just keeps hitting you while your down. THAT ENDING THOUGH! This would be a great trilogy to just binge over a rainy weekend I think. I'm 100% invested in these characters and I'm really hoping for a happy ending.

First of all, Jack is precious and must be protected at all times. I love how he's not the typical emotionless male character and his struggles only make me love him more. I think it's nice that Jack is trying to get Anya to show her emotions a little more instead of the other way around. It's a nice change honestly. And Cam. My precious Cam. I love her to death. Also can I just say how AMAZING it is to have a completely platonic female/male relationship in a book?? It makes me realize just how much we don't get to see that. I'm looking forward to seeing her get the happy ending she deserves.

As for plot, I loved that we got to travel around the world a little. It was fun being on that kind of adventure with Jack and Anya! I was also really interested in this curse that they were trying to solve and especially love how it turned out. My favourite part of this book is all the references to the mental sides of these characters instead of being all physical. There's no way that after all these characters have been through that their minds are completely perfect and the author knows that. It's easily one of the most realistic urban fantasy books I've read!

**I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influences my review. **

In book 2, we’ve found that Jack has temporarily left the ICDM to help Anya in her quest to break the curse that has had a hold of her for over 100 years. She needs to have it broken so she can move on and find her place in life. But she’s riddled with questions and doubt, hoping that she doesn’t turn back into the demon she was before she was cursed. As they move from place to place to hide from Bael, Cam, and the ICDM, the pair become closer as Anya grows weaker.

Ack! This one was great because it focused mainly on our three main characters, all in roles they aren’t used to. Cam knows that the recent killings are not because of Jack and Anya, but she wants him to come back and explain himself. She’s torn as to what she should tell her superiors and what she should keep to herself to protect them.

While Anya spent a lot of her time sleeping because the use of her magic tired her out, I found myself even more drawn to her desire to protect humans. She got pretty crabby in this one and gave Jack a lot of grief, but it didn’t stop him from caring for her. I loved her character, and I loved watching the friendship between Jack and Anya blossom. Another fantastic read and a superb book in the middle of the trilogy. I can’t wait to read the finale!

Evans really knows how to write a sequel! She strikes a great balance between building on the events of book 1 and answering *some* of the reader's burning questions on one hand and revealing more mysteries and dangers for the story to explore in the next book. The plots thicken and the characters get even more interesting... and in trouble! As always, the characters are the absolute best part of the story. The relationships between Jack and Cam and between Jack and Anya are enthralling, and so very, very real.

Revival is a wonderful continuation of the story built up in Resurgence. I grew more attached to the characters and enjoyed learning more about the characteristics and politics between demon communities. I simultaneously cannot wait to read Redemption and keep avoiding it because I desperately want to know what happens next, but I don't want this journey to be over just yet...

Jack and Anya travel to several countries trying to find a cure for the curse Anya has. Cam just wants to find Jack and bring him back.
The second book in the Demon Spring trilogy does not disappoint!!! The ending though!!!

Jack - the more I learn about him, the more I love him!!! Dealing with his wife's death and the struggle of moving on with his life - FINALLY! a good guy that has feelings, cares about people is not an arrogant jerk!!! My kind of guy!!!
Anya - I have hope that there still is a bit of humanity in everyone. Plus I love that she can stop time to travel!!! I would love this ability!!!
Cam - She's still freaking awesome!!! She is the kind of friend I want in my corner! Her loyalty to Jack is so impressive! I love that they are only friends. We don't see enough of male/female friendships.

I still love the different demons and how they can affect you and that they are living in the world with the humans.
I can't wait to dive into book 3!!!!
