Reminded me of Alice and Wonderland in concept. It built up the story for a while which left me bored and uninterested. The play on words once she entered the new world was entertaining and enjoyable, though.

Reminded me a lot of The Phantom Tollbooth. Had to work at some of the allegories. Twists I expected didn't come but that was okay. Could spark good discussion about time and how we use/abuse it.

This was one of the most fun books I’ve ever read! There were so many plays on words and I enjoyed it so much!

This book is SO MUCH like "The Phantom Tollbooth." I think it's probably better developed though. It's got the clever wordplay, fantastical creatures, quest to save an alternate world, etc. But it is longer and more in-depth. The author pretty much acknowledges in the end credits that she was highly inspired by the older novel.

My 10-year-old enjoyed this and read it pretty quickly. She didn't rhapsodize about it or anything, but she liked it. I thought it rather plodding, but then I had only recently read "The Phantom Tollbooth," so it was just too much of the same too soon. It just didn't grab adult me, although I probably would have highly enjoyed it as a child.

Cute. By entering a fantasy world in peril, a girl discovers that daydreamers (moodlers in the jargon of the fantasy world) can make big contributions if they approach the world on their own terms. A much needed message for a moodler like me.

Clearly inspired by the Phantom Tollbooth but quirky in its own way. I likely would have enjoyed it a lot more had I read it when I was younger.

This would be a great read aloud for grades 3-5. The concept of time and being overscheduled is pretty cool.

This book is so good. Amazingly good. Astoundingly good. For fans of The Phantom Tollbooth, Alice in Wonderland, puns, space-time continuums, philosophy, and most of all for those who know the value of thinking about a good idea. This book is just a must-read. Way too fun. Way too important. Way too delightful to pass up.

There was a lot of fun whimsy and humor in it. Something about the writing and the storytelling was just a bit too flat and boring for me.
