A quick read. It was alright and some of the art was too cute for words, but the stories were disjointed from each other. I guess it probably doesn't help that this is from a popular YT series or something that I know nothing about. Either way, it was entertaining enough.

This whole volume seemed like an unfortunate mashup of generic cuteness and Tumblr-like art. The different artists just seemed to make everything quite incoherent. A cute bedtime read, but not much more.

I really loved some of the art styles

This applies to all 3 volumes

It was nice to have little bitesizes stories of the adventures of bee and puppycat

Super Cute

I love Bee & Puppycat! This is a cute little collection. The first story even has QR codes that, when scanned, send you to music on youtube! It's interactive & I love it.

This is a 3.5 star. It got dragged down because I had a difficult time getting into it for a couple of dozen pages, but the last third to half I thoroughly enjoyed. I think I also just had to come to grips with it not being long stories, but many shorter ones. But I would not hesitate to read Vol. 2

Not what I wanted

I have never seen the cartoon, and in fact didn't know it was based on one until after finishing. I thought it was a cute idea, but this volume was not a cohesive story. Rather, it was a collection of disparate short stories by many authors/artists using the same characters.

This was by no means bad, but not what I expected and not for me.

pros:
- the art is beautiful
- these color palettes are A++++
- puppycat is hilarious with or without context

cons:
- even as someone who HAS seen some of the cartoon, this makes very little sense, and I feel like it would make NO SENSE AT ALL to the average person who picks this up without knowing it's a cartoon series as well
- no cohesion WHATSOEVER to these little story snippets

This is one of the most unexpectedly disappointing reads of the year, geez.
