Good

We are all broken and needy in some way. This book shows how healing can come in various ways. Love the "family" and how they look out for each other. A good read. Makes you want to read the rest of their stories.

Lovely

I absolutely loved this book. I love how patient she was, but had expectations that had to be met at some point.

Okay so, first of all stories like this normally aren't my cup of tea. But this one touched my heart a little. Currently I am studying to be a Vet Tech so I was able to strongly relate Maggie. I also worked with horses for a good amount of time. So this story really piqued my interest. I also come from a military family! So it was almost like I was supposed to come across this book!

I enjoyed the story, it was short, sweet and was able to keep my attention. I wouldn't say I would seek out the rest of the series, but I might. Stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary, and I did for this. While I wouldn't say I would read more books like this, I am glad I was asked to review this one. The author is very good at painting pictures in your mind and helping you imagine the experience the situation. I really enjoy authors that can explain without over explaining and this is a good example of that, at least in my opinion. (I'm probably not very good at that!)

So all in all, would I suggest this book? Yes, if you like sappy and romantic novels this is right up your alley! I also really enjoy the writing style in this, so it is a nice book to sit and relax with or read on a flight. Also, hot guy, what more could you want?

CW + TW: losing a job, war, PTSD, mental health, physical injuries, amputees and amputations, healing and other emotions related to the loss of a limb.

This is a short read that I randomly picked up and I'm glad I did. It was short and sweet and full of love and gave me such a warm feeling that I'm interested in continuing with the series... if it wasn't so long.

This short story is about Dylan Banks who lost his leg during a war years ago and is now living on a ranch with other veterans that have had some sort of injury when they were enlisted. He's had many people turn their backs on him so now he wants to help make a place for others that may need it. However, there's a new hidden law that requires those living on the ranch to be married. Now everyone on the ranch has to either leave or get married fast, but how is that possible when many of them have such scars from their past or not sure if they're ready for another relationship, especially one for life?

Maggie Shaw just lost her veterinary technician job and apartment. All she has is her stuff, her car, and the many dogs she rescued. An acquaintance offers a job at the Purple Hearts Ranch and she jumps at the opportunity, but she's not so sure about the marriage of the convenience part.

If Maggie and Dykan can't connect or give each other exactly what they need, they can lose a lot more than just each other.

This was cute, I loved the story and each of the characters but, I think there could have been a little bit more to have me in love with it.

I read this book in a couple hours, and all I can say is that it reads like sickly sweet fanfiction.

Does that mean I hated it? NO! Sometimes a body needs this kinda fluff. Does it makes any sense? Again, no. That's why it reads like some (not all) fanfictions. Between several questionable legal moves by higher authorities and what feels like huge missing chunks of action and dialogue, is there a plot? Mehhhh, sorta?

Listen. If you want something fluffy to take your mind off the dumpster fires, this is a good option. If you want plot, go read Twilight again.
