This book had the same problem as the one before.
Firstly, letās start with the good stuff. I am still in love with the story and Overworld and its sections. Actually, the House of Leights was the one I was most curious about due to their nature/Galinta connection. I loved the way the author explored that world and the fact that it was so different from others.
However(!!), the whole ālove at first sightā, āthis is fateā thing just made me roll my eyes a couple of times. Multiple times, Maya goes on and on how she barely knows him or spent time with him but nonetheless she bounds to him... girl!
In the final chapters, we got to know Xander a bit more and I canāt wait for the big finale of this series.

Holy cow!
Just finished this amazing book. This story just gets deeper and deeper. I canāt wait to start the last book and see how the secret keepers and overlords come together and beat Laos!

While this was enjoyable, I definitely believe the relationship was somewhat rushed and that the girls were a little, immature. Seeing Jero's sadness was so devastating and apparently, at one point they were running for their lives but Maya had to do her makeup and Daniel made Callie coffee.

I wish it was longerš SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SERIES! Each book gets better and better! I love how every character crosses over into the each book! Cannot wait for the next!

This was the worst book so far for me. I was really excited to see Chase be the main character, and Maya was a good lead, but the book was just boring. It's the same formula as the first two, which makes it really predictable. I'm sick of listening to explanations over and over again. Nothing really happened in this book and it was way too short. I'm also really sick of the whole couple thing and the soulmate "insta" love. Hopefully Xander's book shakes things up.

Book 3 or book 1? This series has very similar storylines for all three books. First book loved, second book was a bit repetitive but thought it was still good, and now book three is along the same lines as the first two.
Book starts with the lead character/secret keeper is danger. Her secret keeper mate comes and rescues her from bad guy. Secret keeper and boy falls in love in two minutes. Guys says not to rush it.. they indeed rush it. Bad guys gets angry and retaliates while bursting the love bubble. Something bad happens. Good guys get away. Find next secret keeper. Book ends.
But seriously, the series started out great but damn some of these lines were almost the exact same from the previous two books. Donāt get me wrong, the book is still good but I could go for some variety. Iāve also noticed between her other series, they have very very similar stories lines as well. This will be the last series I read by her. Sheās a great writer but the story is played out now.
