Absolutely loved book 2! Edin is, so far, my favorite monster. He’s so funny and lovable, but also hot as hell and so Dominant. The sex scenes are some of the best I’ve ever read, with the perfect mix of sweet moments and erotic descriptions. Hunter is also a very lovable guy, so loyal and brave. I loved getting to see his inner conflicts throughout the book. I also love the representation of Hunter being an amputee. I’m not an expert but it seems like the author did her research about prosthetics, and amputees in general. I really hope Hunter and Edin pop back up in other books because so far they’re my favorite couple!

Thought about rating it a tiny bit lower but I had a very fun time with this and might have enjoyed it a little less than I otherwise did because I had an awful migraine the entire time. But it also has me invested enough to read the entire thing while feeling like death because of said migraine, so that must mean something.

Hunter and Edin both aren't my favorites (I knew they wouldn't be going in) but I like their romance and dynamic and they're both very fun characters. Charlie also isn't my favorite and I'm not sure how I'll feel about his book.

Getting more of Danny and Wyn was wonderful. Especially when we got to see Wyn from a pov that wasn't Danny's (with Wyn being all cuddly over him). Mean, overprotective Wyn is a blessing upon this earth.

I continue to like the world this is set in, though I feel like I got less details on it this time around other than a handful of monster names and vague descriptions. It was good, though. I continue to like how this series handles the military.

I'm really interested in seeing more about Cat and feel like I know a little of how that's going to go. So that's exciting.

The next book in the series I'm very interested in, so that's also a plus.

gahhhh i didn't expect to like this as much as i did but it was so gooddd!! i honestly loved hunter a lot, i just clicked with him. i loved their relationship overall, and the quotes in this book HIT. especially the near-emotional ones with all the feels.
the way edin just wandered for YEARS to finally have someone to be with him 😭 "Truly?” he asked, his deep voice tinged with tentative hope. “You want to stay with me?".
URGH I LOVED HIM. THEM. individually. together.
the nicknames? amazing. the storyline? couldn't tear my eyes away! wyndanny featured in it? AHHH.
the amount of quotes i could've featured in this..
"I am glad I know you, Hunter. So glad."
"I'm glad I know you too,
scratch
