I just got bored of the story and didn’t really have a connection to the characters.

Wish it didn't read as juvenile as it did but I still loved it a lot!!!! Love anything that's about deconstructing toxic faith and acknowledging how powerful love is.

Tone and pacing were all over the place. The premise is so cool and I was really excited to see what happens, but then everything went break neck speed once she got to the palace. FMC quickly bonds with the Prince and his friend, but there’s no reason for it? Like they’re just telling her things when they have no reason to trust her? And she’s running around the place spilling her secrets to anyone who’d listen. I found FMC so naive and annoying, especially since she saw no social consequences for being this way at court. Really wanted to like it.

Not sure if I'm appreciating the insta-lust and over arching themes
