Cute, funny, and relatable. I think every teenager can relate to feeling like they just aren't interesting enough, so this hit home.
I enjoyed Landons character arc a bit more than Hope's. He had more to overcome and more backstory. But Hope was awkwardly relatable and the two just worked well together.
Fun read from start to finish

I'd like to thank Netgalley and Entangeld Publishing for an ARC of this book. Hope Chambers has big dreams to get into MIT as an aerospace engineer, but after an college admissions consultant tells her she needs a personality, she freaks out. Her friends come up with a list called "Project Personality." After saving the life of Landon Watkins, she asks him to help her with the list, He agrees to her request thinking it might help him out as well. Landon has demons that no one is aware of. When he wakes up from being hungover and not remembering how he got home, his grandpa tells him that he'll send him to military school if he doesn't get his act together. Project Personality by Kelly Anne Blout & Lynn Rush is a good book. It reminds me of the movie She's All That. I like the chemistry between the main characters. told from both Hope and Landon's point of view. I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars due to language. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Can a cliche make a good book?
.
The answer is YES! And This book was the proof, the storyline was an utter cliche:
A nerdy girl who is so smart and spews random facts whenever she's nervous, she can't get in her target school because "she doesn't have a personality" and asks for help from the athlete, who has a tragic backstory that makes him keep people at arm's length.
What i really liked about the book was: 1)it was fast-paced, i finished it in one day, it was that good.
2) the writing style was awesome, it was really engaging.
3) the story was packed with drama that only teen books can contain, which was a nice escapism from reality.
4) the fluff, the book had some swoon worthy fluffy scenes which for me was a good depart from the loaded scenes in adult fiction romance.
There were some details i didn't like: sometimes there were some repeated scenes, like Hope getting anxious when talking to anyone, or when the Landon keeps wallowing in self-pity anytime he feels himself getting closer to her.
Honestly, that was a really good book.
*Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review*

“It was like he was a hydrogen molecule and I was the oxygen. I was drawn to him. We completed each other.”

Thank you to the authors for reaching out to me and offering me the opportunity to read and review this before it’s release date!

Honestly, I think this one was better than the first in the Twin River High Series and I didn’t think that was possible because the first one was SO good!

I loved, loved, LOVED Landon and Hope. They were adorable and perfect for each other! Complete opposites too making for a very interesting story. They truly brought out the best in one another and helped one another grow and tackle their biggest fears. I LOVE THAT!

This book dealt with some pretty serious stuff, and it was handled so gracefully. It was a big part of the story too - adding a lot of depth to the overall plot. Brillant work, truly!

I honestly could read 100 stories about Landon and Hope. And we got to see McKenna and Jace make an appearance in this one. No Matthew though (thank God).

I cannot wait to read the next one in this series! I’m officially HOOKED.

Project Personality reminds me of a cute 90's rom-com where the brainiac girl needs the hot athletic guy to help her with a social experiment to become popular but with a contemporary flair that only Blount and Rush can master.

All Hope wants is to magically develop a personality overnight so that she can wow her college interviewer. she's accustom to fading into the background but all that changes when she gives Landon the Heimlich.

We got glimpses of Landon in the first Twin River High book and I loved that we get to see his story. The authors of this series do not shy away from controversial topics and I applaud their trend of penning main characters with real-life issues and scenarios. Blount and Rush are superb writers and they delicately balance strong themes with the perfect amount of sass and humor to keep the reader entertained.

Landon is the product of drug addict parents who was rescued by his grandparents only to have his beloved grandma pass away which leads to a rapid decline in his behavior and mental wee-being. Reading the inner dialogue of Landon was both eye-opening and scary while being deeply insightful.

Amidst this downward spiral, Hope comes into his life like a ray of super-smart light. She needs help ditching her anal uptight ways and Landon needs help appeasing his grandpa who is two seconds away from sending him to boot camp.

I enjoyed that their relationship was symbiotic and resulted in him helping her as much as she was helping him. Watching them navigate the constraints of teenage life while dreaming of the future was heartwarming. I relished the subtle tones of believing in yourself and upliftment throughout the novel and anxiously await the third installment of the series.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing, the authors and NetGalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.

**Trigger warnings: Loss of a family member/ grief/car accident/ alcoholism***
Another swoon worthy romance from Blount and Rush! Hope had done everything possible to pad her resume for college, except maybe enjoy what’s around her. Enter Landon and Project Personality. She enlists his help to help get a personality before her interview. He opens Hope’s eyes to a world she only ever thought of as off limits to the populars. They’re just people afterall.

What happens when this turns into more than just a project? Will the feelings stick after the project is over and the interview is through or were they just for show?

I love how Blount and Rush make you fall in love with their characters and story from the very early pages of each book. While this book took me quite a bit longer to get through than previous ones by the duo it’s was still very enjoyable. I also loved getting to see flashes of previous characters we’ve been introduced to and have come to love. If you’re looking for quick easy contemporary romance reads that deal with real issues check out the twin River series today.

How can someone didn't have personality ?

Thank you Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC, i voluntarily read and reviewed of this book, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

"there's literally nothing exciting about me"

This was what i'm thinking. Hope Chambers straight A student, who told she doesn't have personality. No one can't stop her to get into MIT, even a personality she should get in 2 weeks. But she need someone to help her to doing this project, so she ask Landon Watkins, junior soccer player. He's popular, not a jerk, and she save his life once.

This book is so cute and fun. I like their journey on theri project, and the tasks Landon give to Hope, it's exciting to see how Hope being brave every step she take. I understand how strugle Hope when doing this project. my heart so full with their cuteness. They are so adorable !!! Oh and i can see a glimpse of Mcknna here, she's so wise.

"Because you never know what secrets people are hiding that might make them act a certain way"

Landon is my favorite character here (and his granfather). He's not just who they see on the surface, his thought, his word, sometimes have a deep meaning. I like character with dark past. How his thought about Hope is so sweet, and whenhe think he less than everyone, make me really sad. I love Hope when she babbling facts when she nervous, so adorable, and how she find who she are in their journey. they're so perfect for each other how Landon carring to Hope, want to be someone be there for her, and how Hope always eager to know landon better and trying to be someone he can trust.

I really enjoy reading this, Twin River High series character always have surprising way to show their love to their beloved one, aaaa i can't wait to read the next book in the series.

"Hope. It's wasn't only her namesake. It was what I was starting to feel when I was arounf her."

Was the writing bad? Yes. Was the story super cringey? Yes. Was the plot super stereotypical? Yes. But did I kind of enjoy it anyway because I am a sucker for romance? Also yes.
