Initial Thoughts
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian but I really learned to love the rest of the series. When I learned about this series, I was eager to give it a read.

Some Things I Liked
Multiple POVs. While the cast of characters was a bit much to juggle at times, I actually really loved the three converging points of view. Each sister was completely unique and her circumstances unique as well. I loved the way the stories felt disconnected but also that they were drawing closer to each other with each chapter.
Romance and relationships. I loved the way each sister found the relationships she was missing or that she needed. There was romance, friendship, and even a father daughter relationship that developed and I really loved that it wasn’t just all romance.

One Thing I Wasn’t Crazy About
This book had a slow start for me. I started it in November and only just picked it back up yesterday. The beginning was captivating but I found myself temporarily bogged down by the lengthy list of characters.

Series Value
While this book had a slow start, I feel like I understand it all now and I would definitely read the next book in the series. There are many unanswered questions and I can’t wait to see what direction the story takes.

Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed this book. I think if it stays on this pace, I’ll like this series even more than Ash Princess.

Three princesses are sent to the neighboring kingdoms to marry their respective princes but there’s a catch: they’re plotting with their mother to take over their fiancé’s kingdom.

Thoughts: it was like three books in one. There was so much going on but in a good way! The world building of each kingdom was absolutely stunning, and the plot twist at the end was a masterpiece

DNF at 50%

I don't know how a story on daughters raised for war could be this boring but let's talk about lost potential. Sebastian's prose, while strong, lyrical and accessible at once, is not enough to tide over a novel whose leaky plot and threadbare characters are insistent on sinking it .

- Writing a fantasy reliant on politics means it should be rooted heavily in economics, geography, history and prejudices. I only got hazy outlines of the world and how it operates after reading 50% of the novel.
The choices do not make sense and there's no emergency or character struggke to propel forward the work

- The characters are painfully dull. Each of the three girls' respective husbands seem to be constructs instead of characters, the antagonists lack complexity that makes them appealing and the romance is chemistry free.

- The reason why haunts me throughout the novel. Conquest of the rival kingdoms should give Bessemia some advantage but none is referred to in the text because allegedly, the other states are close to ruin. So why take on the burden when you are doing well? The economics and history student in me doesn't understand. Conquest for the sake of conquest? But the queen is touted as wise?

- Missed Opportunities- You cannot get more tragic, epic and complex than a mother raising her daughters for war but the mother barely is even present and is relegated into an angry villainess.

I could keep going but this book neither thrilled me nor enraged me. It was a long, winding meh. So why waste the energy?

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the earc in exchange for an honest review

Thank you so much for PRH International for the free ARC, all opinions are my own!

What an amazing story! What an ending! I am still shocked and cannot believe that I need to wait at least a year to find out how the story goes!

I cannot say it enough— EVERYONE please read it! It is magical, full of with unexpected turns, betrayals, smart and fierce main characters, a continent to conquer!
Three Princesses are about to spill the tea in three different kingdoms to help their mother invade those kingdoms! Sounds cool right?!

We follow princess Beatrice, Sophia and Daphne (triplets), who are sent to 3 different kingdoms to fulfill their mothers plan: destabilize the kingdom from within, weaken them and lead to a potential war that their mother can “finish and save”.

I loved following the sisters and their independent journey, how they navigate at court and how they find friendships, love and discover the truth about their mother’s plan!

It has:
- enemies to lovers
- lovers to enemies
- betrayal
- magic
- everyone is plotting against everyone
- multiple POVs

"It's always easier to love people who need us than people we need, I think. Being needed makes one powerful. Needing, though, makes one vulnerable."

The plot is well written, well paced and very well crafted. Every scheme in this plot were plan thoroughly and every twist will leave you speechless.

I really like the three different POVs from three different princesses in this stories. Usually when there are so many POVs I tend to like one POV more than the other. But, this one is an exception because I'm looking forward to read all three different POVs.
The POVs give a lot of knowledge to the readers to know each princess character's with their specialties and what role they're playing along with a hidden mission.

I really like the sibling relationship of Daphne, Sophie and Beatriz have, despite the hate that one of them may harbor for the other sibling, they still love each other.
It's all because their mother is more like a tyrant than a parent. A war general than a mother.

I really love reading about the three princesses romantic relationship because each of them have a different romantic relationship with their love interest
One begins as an enemies turn to lovers, the other one fall in love with each other slowly and the last one has a sort of platonic relationship.
I'm looking forward to see how their relationship will grow from here!

Although, it took a while for me to understand the world building and to remember which princess marry which prince and lives in what kingdom. So many places and characters to know and to remember.
But, once you get the hang of it you'll devour this book easily!

There's a lot of questions swirling inside my head after reading that ending. One thing for sure I wanted the next book immediately!!!!

Overall, this book is very enjoyable and entertaining. Some of the twists and betrayals manage to surprise me and I'm really looking forward for the next book to get some answers!

If you enjoy reading fantasy romance full of betrayals with cunning and unexpected schemes then I highly recommend you try to read this one!
