This book really creeped me out and the mystery of it all kept me going. Much more disturbing than I anticipated. I predicted some of it but was definitely surprised (and perplexed) by the ending. Authors: please STOP glorifying and/or downplaying abuse, SA, coercion, stalking... She glorifies and downplays SA, coercion, and other blurry/icky sexual behavior on multiple occasions throughout this book. Likely won't read another Colleen Hoover book because of that.

I devoured this, I could not put it down. I read this in a day! From the first sentence I was hooked! A wonderful change of pace for Coho!

I couldn’t put it down, but this book is an insane wild ride. It’s not the best written book to be honest? But there’s lots of twists and turns that make you want to finish it.

it’s tea, not great tea or well-written, but it is piping hot and will have your jaw on the floor the entire time

when i first read the book i liked it a lot because i thought it was just supposed to be a psychological horror/thriller, but upon discovering that this is supposed to be a dark romance, i like it significantly less. protagonist is far from the main character, everyone is awful, and there are so many missed opportunities for genuine character development. the romance is the most insufferable part of the book, but it was tolerable when i thought it was meant to be a horror element. so if you just pretend to not know you’re reading a colleen hoover book, this is a solid 3.5 for simplicity and tropes

Honestly a bit creepy but Jeremy is such a romantic. I hate the last line so MUCH. This deviates so far from Colleen Hoover's usual writing style.
