This book was perfectly lite and fluffy. Honestly it was just what I needed. There was a moment when I thought we'd get some drama but it didn't happen. And as much as I thought I wanted that I'm glad we didn't get it. Mills and Hadley were sweet and wonderful together. But Arden stole this book. Every scene with him was a big smiling mess of love. My heart is so full for this little family.

I still have SO many questions without answers (I'm sure the family feels the same way). I also want to know what all those letters say. My mind keeps telling me that the next book (Vance's story) has to be huge in order to satisfy all of us. I just don't know what to expect and that's scary

As We Are turned out to be exactly what I needed when I needed it. I've been waiting for Mills since the beginning of this series, and boy, does he ever deliver. The romance is everything I expect, and Claudia Burgoa kept the angst level relatively low for this one, at least in comparison to the last book in the series. So, we get a sexy romance complete with a single dad to save the day for a down on her luck woman. Pretty hard not to swoon a bit just at the sexy single dad part. The book is well written as always, and the author gives us plenty of her well-timed wit to chuckle over between swoony moments. This is part of a series, and while it does stand on its own, I'd still recommend starting at the beginning because you don't want to miss any of these great characters as they find their one and only.

This is book 5 in the Bakers Creek Billionaire Brothers series, this is Mills and Hadley's book.

Mills is a professional ice hockey player who is currently out due to an injury, so he is at Bakers Creek with his son Arden, living with his brothers and sisters-in-law.

Hadley returned to Bakers Creek after a nasty break-up with her ex, she finds that her parents are struggling financially and the medical bills are piling up, so when she gets two lawsuits against her she agrees to be the nanny to the children, she loves Arden and Mills, but they can't be together as she is an employee.

I loved this book as much as the others, each brother has their own story to tell.

"As We Are" by Claudia Burgoa told the story of Mills Aldridge, a professional hockey player and single father to toddler son Arden, and Hadley Heywood, who had just returned to her hometown of Baker's Creek after living in Denver for several years. Mills loved being a dad but felt like something was missing in his life, especially since he had been forced to give up hockey because the stipulations of his father's will wouldn't allow him to leave Baker's Creek for at least 18 months. Hadley wasn't exactly happy to be back in Baker's Creek herself, but after a scandalous breakup in Denver that led to her losing her job, she didn't have much choice but to return home. On top of that, her father had just been in a serious car accident, and her mother, who had been hiding their financial struggles from Hadley, was in danger of losing her beloved bakery. The last thing Hadley was looking for was a new relationship, but she couldn't help being drawn to Mills and his son from the moment they met. Mills felt the same, and even though he knew their relationship was a bad idea, he couldn't help wanting to help Hadley and her family no matter the consequences.

I really liked Hadley, Mills, and Arden together. They slipped into family life so naturally that it was like they had always been together. However, I was a little disappointed with the aspects of the plot related to William and the inheritance. There were a few new scraps of information revealed, but for the most part, this book kind of felt like filler. I'm really looking forward to finally getting some answers in the next (and final) book of the series.

Overall, while "As We Are" wasn't my favorite book of the series, I still enjoyed and would recommend it for fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I can't wait to find out how the series wraps up later this year with the final brother, Vance's, book.

As We Are is book 5 of The Baker's Creek Billionaire Brothers series. With this book we learn more about Mills (the hockey player) and his sweet son Arden. Mills gets his chance at love, and in true Aldridge fashion he almost screws it up. Hadley is a young woman with ties to Baker's Creek. She grew up there, her mother owns the bakery, and her aunt owns the book store. Claudia Burgoa has an absolute talent for connecting characters from her many different books and series so they can make appearances in other stories.

Grace Bradley says it best in this book when she says "Falling in love is never practical. It's magical."

This is a fun, quick, sweet read. It makes me sad to know that there is only one more Aldridge brother left of get his book. I am not quite ready for their stories to be over.

I don't feel the romance between them as much at the beginning. Only after the 70% or 80%, when they give in I can see the romance between them. But I loved seeing Mills, Hadley and Arden together. I wished Arden had made more appearance with his cuteness. I loved him so much. Hadley is just what these two boys needed in their life. This is a fun and quick read. I can't wait to read what happens next.
