It was a pretty good book :) I enjoyed the author’s writing style, though it did come off sometimes as more of an extended research paper than a book, but it was well written, and spoke well to the subject. I always enjoy learning more about how we can best coexist with technology, so I might be a bit biased.

Interesting Insights and simple strategies to limit and be in control of you own usage of technology but the delivery was kinda dry.

Everyone should take time to just sit there and be present at the moment and do nothing, let the mind wander.

I really enjoyed this! I wasn't familiar with her podcasting, and this book was recommended by a fellow English teacher and it was really compelling (and Zomorodi reads it herself!) I would highly recommend this as an audiobook, and I'm heavily considering at least some version of the bored and brilliant challenge with my AP Lang students next year. Very solid if you feel you are too dependent on your phone or if you're just interested in the science of creativity and attention.

Terlepas bermacam-macam keuntungan, dampak teknologi ngga selalu positif. Rentang perhatian atau

Yeah we get it, our phones are making us stupid (and worse! unproductive!). This isn't even a book about daydreaming, it's just a rehash of her podcast series where she told people to put down their phones for a while. I mean, credit where credit's due, getting paid to write a book with the exact same content people can access for free sure is... creative.

As a self help book, this actually didn't feel as preachy and demeaning as some can be.

I also loved the audiobook version which features an interview between the author and the inventory of the phone game she was addicted to.
