I really enjoyed reading this from Hades' perspective, plus the bonus scenes! The parts of the story that weren't seen from Persephone's side were quite interesting - we got to see a lot of the other gods and goddesses as Hades interacts with them and deals with a challenging issue that sheds more light on the groups of mortals that support and do not support the gods that was referenced in A Touch of Darkness. It was also helpful to understand Hades' background and approach to life, since it is so different from Persephone's. Hermes and Hecate continue to be A+ characters - love them!

I don’t know if I want to do the whole book over from Hades perspective? Maybe I’ll go back later and do it if I’m really enjoying myself?

A continuation of ATOD from Hades perspective. Really glad I read ATOD first because this book seems to have been written assuming you know most of the info from that book - it wouldn’t feel whole without having read ATOD first. Loved reading a few of the events from his perspective and getting background info of the time in between!

I cannot.
The characters have less depth than the first book and Hades needs to get a grip. No pun intended.
This is not a love story, but lust and I cannot read about him getting hard anymore when Persephone simply smiles at him.

I really did enjoy Hades’ POV from the first book in this series, A Touch of Darkness. It felt like it was so much faster and I loved getting to see a much more vulnerable side to Hades than what Persephone got to see in the beginning. I don’t know if I’ll read the rest of his POVs because I don’t believe I need them anymore but knowing myself I probably will just to know how much he truly worships Persephone 🥲

the only thing I enjoyed about this books was Hades' little adventures to get Sisyphus is actually interesting, otherwise this crap is so dull and boring. The way the author portrayed Persephone through the eyes of Hades' is really weird, because in the touch of darkness book (only the first one), she's actually very articulate and not meek at all. Yeah, she's annoying but for some reason in this book she's even worse. At least she was bearable in her book. Hades' has only one thought and it's to fuck Persephone, that's it. That shit got so old and dull real fast. It's crazy how this book was almost 400 pages of absolutely nothing. I would read and it felt like nothing was happening, nothing of substance came from this book. This entire series could be wiped out and it wouldn't affect a touch of darkness at all. What was the point in writing this series, if nothing was going to happen.

This was just a cash grab, a really bad cash grab.
