REVIEW:

When I first read Her Soul to Take over a year ago, I enjoyed it, but I never thought this series would haunt me like it has. Despite my not-so-high rating, the atmosphere of this world Harley Laroux created stuck with me. I found myself thinking about it from time to time. And after reading Her Soul for Revenge, I sunk even deeper. At that point I was desperate for Everly and Callum's story, which was hinted at in that book.

So to say I was looking forward to this book is a major understatement. I was desperately looking forward to diving back into this dark, twisted, haunting world.

The book was slow paced like the other two, which isn't my favorite kind of pacing. But the overarching story and the atmosphere is what makes these books really good. I love the haunting gothic atmosphere and the world created here. Laroux's take on gods, demons, hell, and witches, is unique and fascinating.

Most of the book was spent following Everly's progress as she learns to use her powers with Callum at her side. The bulk of the action doesn't take place until the end.

Still, I enjoyed Everly and Callum and their dynamic. Callum is very powerful and strong, but desires to be more submissive to Everly. Sometimes I don't like this dynamic, but in this case it worked and was super hot. I loved Callum. He's so devoted and head over heels for Everly. Perfect.

Everly is a good FMC. She starts off feeling weak, but she's not annoyingly timid internally. I liked her internal strength and I like how that slowly bled out into her external self the more she came into her powers.

I'm happy to see the pesky god finally taken down as well. Everything is finally as it should be.

I love how the timeline of the three books overlaps and intertwines. Reading them back to back would be a real treat that I might try one day if I decide to re-read them.

I also love how the "vision" Callum had of Everly at the beginning of the book is explained and comes full circle in the end. So cool how that tied in!

Overall the book was slower paced and so it took me longer to get through it, but I still very much enjoyed it when I picked it up. This series is very cool and unique and I like the series as a whole enough that I could see myself re-reading them one day. Recommended for fans of dark paranormal romance.

This book was so good, Callum and Everley were just perfect. The only downside was several spelling errors in this one compared to the first two, however other wise this book was a perfect read and the ending!!? So sweet!

I took my time with this book since it is the last one in the trilogy & I am so glad that I did . It was such a great book that tied all the pieces together . I loved how it ended as well !! Super sad that it’s over but glad to have experienced it.
