"“What if what I want is everything that used to be hers?”
(...) “I’m yours. And there’s nothing I’d rather do than make you mine in return.”"

i have so many things running through my head right now, but this book! literal chef's kiss UGH
Raven is one of my new fav FMCs, the way she was so willing to sacrifice the life she had to marry the man she had secretly loved KNOWING he loved her sister - she is everything, and needs to be protected at all costs!
and Ares, bro almost fumbled the ball ngl... he made me so angry at the beginning of the book, but slowly redeemed himself as Raven and he grew closer throughout their marriage. i will never forgive Raven's sister for the rollercoaster ride she took them on, but i am so glad that they were able to find their way back together <3

so wholesome, i am so excited to read the next book!!! catharina maura, you've just gained a new fan!

I truly enjoyed this book. I found it heart wrenching from the very start. Raven always playing second fiddle to her sister and even to the extent of not fighting for the love of her life when they were young. Ares the eldest of the Windsor family, is arranged to marry Hannah who he has been with for 5 years but she’s….well she’s terrible. The possessiveness he has over Raven I just love! And when he messes up royally and her self confidence is at an all time low…he really steps up and gets his woman!

Not a fan of love triangles. Fmc has been in love with H for years. He was initially engaged to her when she was 20 MOC style. After he thinks he takes her sisters V card he switches sisters. It was really the fmc he deflowered. 5 years later fmc is highest paid supermodel in the world and her sister is a movie star. Sister breaks off engagement with H so fmc is forced back into MOC to secure families status. After the mc’s are married her narcissistic sister wants the H back. She causes lots of angst. FINALLY H grows a set of balls and the H and h get their hea.

If you do not know the meaning of "insecurities" and you want a demostration, this book is it

Raven (cry me a river) cries and sobs 65 times in the book because she can't come to the understanding that her husband is choosing her over her sister even though he said it over and over and over and over

Ares (couldn't help cringe a little everytime she moaned his name) says to his SUPERMODEL wife "I don't want another man touching you" "don't do exercise with any man" "no photo shoots with any man" "ME Ares You Raven"
Maybe she should have modled via Zoom!!

And how can you be with someone 5 years, begging them to be with you, waiting to get married then say "I stayed with you out of obligation!"
Yes Hanna lied but come on dude! Are you this blind?
And when he said at the end "I knew you were cheating on me but didn't care"
Really????????

And the Grandma?!
I come from a ME family but even I shuddered at how manipulative she was in this arranged marriage!

Anyways, 2 stars for Raven standing up to her bitch of a mother and sister through out the book

couldnt get over how much of a b the sister was, and how the fmc never thought she could do anything right and was always feeling bad for herself
