Just as wonderful as the rest of the series, and as always, incredibly well planned and thought out.

The writing was great. I felt the anger and all the emotions the characters was feeling. At a point I had to put aside to book to gather back my emotional stability. I don't believe I'll ever give a Harry Potter book less than 5 stars in fact I think it deserves 10.

I really appreciated the growth that the series has made up til this novel. Rowling stopped giving a backstory for every name drop and giving context to anything relating to a previous novel which I was very grateful for, i don’t know how many more times I could bare reading another explanation of what quidditch was. However, I was a little bothered by the repetition of the bipolar emotions Harry experienced throughout this novel. It seemed that 50% of the chapters began with Harry feeling the best he ever could, then some tragic or unexpected event would take place mid chapter and by the end of it he’d be feeling worse than he ever had, shocked that he felt so happy previously. To have an emotional contrast like that every once and a while is refreshing, but the overuse took away from the reading experience. Also. I totally forgot Sirius died in this novel?? Completely forgot. Harry’s reaction to the death was so heart breaking and you could feel the pain he felt, and Rowling did a great job of showing how he dealt with the different stages of grief throughout the final chapters. Overall a good book, but there could have been slight improvements.

A favorite for sure! This was always my favorite movie growing up, I just love this story and it feels like such a turning point. I also always forget how angry Harry is in this one, he’s going through so much.
