The NUMA Files wasn't too bad. I loved that we got to see Sandecker and Gunn again. I enjoy the crew of NUMA and its operatives. Kurt is not Dirk Pitt so far. Great humor and all but I didn't get that Dirk sense except for the romance. I enjoyed his character but didn't see too much when it came to how they said he's great in certain situations. Maybe in coming books because I do want to continue on.

The Russian context had flavor but as far as megalomaniacal "destroy the world by which we mean the USA" ploys go, this story falls flat.

I enjoyed this book about the most of all the Clive Cussler books that I have read. The main character, Kurt Austin, was more likeable than Dirk Putt, still confident, but not quite as cocky. In this adventure, Austin has to stop some evil Russians from creating tsunamis that would wipe out major cities in the U.S. and create more global warming that would help Russia and make the U.S. like a dust bowl. Of course plenty of action and fighting ensued, but Austin managed to kill the bad guys, save the day, and still end up with the beautiful girl in his bed at the end of the day. Obviously not the most realistic book I’ve ever read and a couple points seemed to tie up a little too neatly, but all in all I enjoyed it. I give it a B-.

I love Clive Cussler. This is my first NUMA files book - I enjoyed the characters very much. I also liked the story. This writing/story is very similar to the Ghost War type of work.

Non granché. Il meno efficace della serie per ora. Personaggi poco credibili, storia così così. Mi erano piaciuti di più gli altri. Proseguirò la serie.
