definitely my least favorite of the series, which feels weird to say bc i loved this!! i'm not always a fan of things set at sea or pirates or whatever. i think i *want* to like them more than i actually do. i really liked spit, and i wish we'd gotten more from him. but it's essentially all about these three sisters, and i do adore all of them!! and granny < 3

Loved this one just as much as the first. The folklore/fairytale aspect combined with the magical element is so much fun. I love how different the sisters are and how they really work together. The search for treasure and pirate element was a lot of fun as well.

Such a wonderfully whimsical and adventurous middle grade novel. I absolutely love the Widdershins sisters with their quirkiness and bravery!

The curse has been lifted and everything is just as rotten as before could be the tag line of this book. It's a fine and spooky adventure, but I found (as is so often true of second books) that it lagged, doing a lot of the same things as the first one but without me being that interested any longer.
