This was such fun read! It was funny in all the right places and spicy but not too spicy, a perfect balance if you ask me.

Lottie is such a sassy queen I love her. And Huxley… phew! Acts tough but is a softie at heart. We love to see it! Lol

I’m about to take a walk through a rich neighborhood wearing work out clothes and braids brb.

Lottie has found herself in desperate need of money after being fired by her so-called best friend. After deciding the only solution is to find herself a rich husband, imagine her surprise when the first person she runs into on her search is Huxley, a billionaire coincidentally in need of a fake pregnant fiance as part of a business deal. Although they don’t particularly like each other, pair of them strike a deal, but when they move in together, the attraction between them becomes hard to deny.

This was a really fun read. It’s genuinely very funny, with some parts making me laugh out loud. There are some clumsy parts in the writing that I found a bit distracting - some words and phrases that I found a bit cringey - but for the most part it was very easy to read. The external plot wasn’t my favourite either - there were some moments I found a bit weird and uncomfortable to read, but it did genuinely have me wondering how on earth the characters were going to resolve this.

Both Huxley and Lottie were likeable characters and I found myself rooting for both of them, even when their actions were in conflict with one another. Their relationship worekd really well for me: alongside the humour and silliness there was a good dose of angst and pining and the sexual tension was ridiculously high. I liked that they took the time to get to know one another as well, it led to some very sweet moments. The sex scenes were very hot and well-written and perfectly suited their characters. I also liked how their romance concluded - it had a good grovel and a fun epilogue.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. There were some really fun parts to it and the central romance was really steamy and well-written. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a funny, steamy billionaire romance with a fake relationship a lot of forced proximity.

This book lost a star for Lottie acting like she never stepped foot into a business class during the first like 50% of the book, the third act break up, getting engaged for real after like 2 months, and faking a pregnancy!

The banter and amazing chemistry between the characters kept me locked into this book. I honestly haven’t read a book this fast in a while. Huxley’s conversation with Dave and Lottie FINALLY giving Angela what she deserves in the epilogue salvaged the last 10% of the book. I am very excited to read about the other two Cane brothers!!

A cute well written billionaire romance! The banter between the MMC and FMC is off the charts. There were certain points in the book where I couldn’t help but burst out laughing! I loved those parts since I rarely read books that are like this so it was refreshing. There was a good amount of dirty talk and a little spice! I’d say like 3/5 in spice. I wouldn’t suggest reading if you’re looking for a clean romance.

"Huxley: If that's how you want to play this, it's on Lottie. And remember, I'm relentless.
Lottie: I think you've met your match, Huxley Cane."

Me? Drooling? Maybe.

Huxley Cane is literal perfection and I spent almost the entirety of the book thirsting over him just as much as Lottie - who I also loved! Their entire dynamic was so cute and had the best banter, I giggled at so many points in this book. They were so cute and the spiciness was definitely spicing *wink wink*. A hot rich husband with a black AMEX card who can fly me to concerts on his private Jet with the snap of his fingers? Huxley, Huxley, Huxley, you fine specimen of a man.

The only reason this book got 4 stars instead of 5 was because I thought we were SAFE from a 3rd act break-up, but I was unfortunately wrong. At 86%, are you JOKING!! That left very little time for Huxley to grovel & I would have been a little happier to see a little bit of begging *cough cough*.

Lottie had the right idea, so now if you don't mind me, I'm just gonna take a stroll through rich neighborhoods looking for my own Huxley <3
