While I don't think I'll be able to adhere completely to all these tips, I have definitely already started getting more organized and feel inspired!

3 stars for *some* creative inspiration but not a lot of personally identifying. Ended up, I connected with a few strategies but, overall, didn’t give me a lot to work with. **Sigh…**

As a chronic organizer myself, I really appreciated this book. To be honest, when I first picked it up I thought it would just be a picture table book that would look pretty. Then after moving, I decided to pick it up to see if there were any tips & tricks I could implement to keep the new home clean (there was.) But to my surprise, it was a full book start to finish with solid information & guidance! There was even an intro & outro! I whole heartedly just thought it would be pretty pictures & am so disappointed in myself I didn’t flip through it sooner, but better late than never. It definitely made me interested to read their first & most recent publications as well. There were a few parts that were hard to get through, as they were not relevant to me specifically, but I powered through it & truly feel like I got the most out of this book that I possibly could. 4/5 stars. The pictures were pretty, but it really is so much more! EDIT: I also just want to say the reviews stating it doesn’t make sense that they’re just “telling you to keep all your stuff” is really not sitting right with me. Y’all clearly never watched the show & completely missed everything they mentioned about having “negative space” & the 80/20 rule. They’re not telling you to be a hoarder. They’re just saying there are more solutions than getting rid of all your memorabilia & hobbies you only get to do a few/year.

Pretty pictures to aspire to, but not sure how much I actually learned about organizing.

This was slightly interesting to look through, but their finished products are far too stark for me and my life. And I don't think it is helpful to organize EVERYTHING by rainbow color. I can see that that's fine for some people's book collections, for example, but when someone tells me they turned around any books that didn't fit into their color scheme to show the neutral page edges, I take a biggggg step back. No. Just... no.

I'm glad these systems work for some people but I also wonder how many of them have actually been kept up for more than a week. Especially the kids' rooms! You have got to be kidding me. The art supplies with crayons arranged and split up by color? This would last for negative ten seconds in my house. I'm lucky implementing an "art cart" AT ALL has mostly worked.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I thought ... At all. Having recently jumped on THE bandwagon, I truly enjoy the Netflix show and see real value in Joanna and Clea's methods. Perhaps because I missed reading book #1 and jumped to this directly, it took me a while to understand the layout and contents of the book. Additionally, while I appreciated some of their presented solutions and tips, many pages are filled with what they did for specific other clients - which is fun for me to watch, but not to read about, personally. A number of the sections are also plainly not applicable/relatable to my life, and so they were boring for me. I'd recommend their first book as a pre-req to this read.

When the first season of their show came out, I couldn't get into it BUT a couple months ago, I watched all of Season 2 and went back to Season 1. Now I adore the two organizers! So I borrowed this book from the library. Their sense of humor is the same as mine so I loved all the little "true stories" and lists they tucked into the book. I read it to get inspiration for my home that lacks clear zones for things. I will now look at my home in a new way and will hopefully bring loads of order and fun to it!

Gorgeous pictures but short on how-to help.
