Loved Vi and Cades story. Not my favourite but still a really good book and fits in well with the series.

Elsie Silver is the queen of romance. I have yet to find a book she has written that I do not enjoy. I will say though that I wish I would have read Gold Rush Ranch series BEFORE Chestnut Springs series. While they are two separate series, the characters do cross over so there are minor spoilers if you read in the order that I did.
I loved Cole and the growth he goes through to overcome trauma and his lack of self-worth. Violet is the perfect amount of spicy attitude, who is very driven and motivated. They are perfect for each other.
I cannot wait to read the next book in the Gold Rush Ranch series. I love how each book focuses on different characters but previous main characters show up as side characters.

Yeah short review.. loved it! After Chestnut Springs I couldn't wait for Violet her story and I love her attitude. The flashbacks gave the story more dept and I really liked it.

listen, i really really enjoyed this and it was better than the first book, but FUCK VIOLET. and i love violet so much don’t get me wrong but come on babe. cole watched his father die from riding and she can’t understand why being with someone that rides horses for a living might be a bit triggering for him. yeah yeah they work it out but she was so childish for being mad at him over that.

Read this to complete the story of the sister from the Chestnut Springs series. I appreciate the story of a MMC who uses a prosthetic as that is typically not represented in stories I've read, but overall, this was not my cup of tea.

Cole has been promoted to be my man..sorry Vaughn
I don’t even know where to start but this book is so beautifully done. The way Cole is written, his story and struggles in this book makes this book good and gives Cole some character instead of him just being grumpy (at least he has a reason for why he is like that).
I saw how many pages this book had and almost rolled my eyes but let me tell you-it’s worth it. I feel like I would consider this a slow burn because you watch Violets and Cole’s relationship blossom like all the tension and overall Cole slowly opening up is so beautiful.
“She's like sunshine on my face. Warm and bright. I feel like I've been living in the shade, in a dark corner, and rather than dragging me kicking and screaming out of it—like so many people have tried to-she's just shifted over a little bit to share her light."
She’s the light to his dark corner :)
