Read while sitting at Barnes and Noble. Funny, almost laugh out loud at times. I could definitely relate to his stories (jokes). It's worth a quick read if you need a laugh at life couple of moments.

Laugh-out-loud comedic sketches by a guy who is a) younger than me, and b) weirdly, the son of Frank Rich. But don’t think about that stuff: concentrate on the funny. I particularly liked “A Conversation Between the People Who Hid in My Closet Every Night When I Was Seven.”

Rather than try to be funny about this book, I think I will leave it at that and just let Rich be funny on his own. He is more than capable, after all.

Oh. My. God. This was the funniest book I've read in a long time. This book is another short one; essays are 1-2 pages max. They're absurd, self-deprecating observations and hypothetical situations. Such as: Imagined conversations between monsters that lived in Simon's closet when he was seven, or a hostage taker's demands which include the police giving his cat its ear medication. Very silly. Very weird.

Not as funny as your last one, Simon. But still good.

Super imaginative, hilarious book of tiny little vignettes about everything from Dracula's match.com profile to the inner lives of free-range chickens to why we eat too much at an all-you-can-eat buffet. I think my favorite bits were about childhood-- the indignities, the fears, the magical thinking. Very short (I think I read it in half an hour) but also very good.

Basically a book of jokes that will cause a sensible chuckle or two. Good bathroom reader.
