3.5 stars rounded up. A post apocalypse virus story written pre-2020 is going to have some cringe moments for me regardless of how it's handled but it's still one of my favorite genres. I liked reading about the struggles to get to the cabin and the homesteading while dealing with the zombies. However I didn't care very much about the characters except for Nelly and Bits. It felt like Peter and Ana's shift mid book was a little too abrupt? Overall Fun read though.

Love!

This is the first in the series and it's just great! I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

......well shoot

I always thought zombies and romance would be my favorite genre. But no, not really a blending pair. This story was okay, I literally skipped through all of Cassie's flashbacks and skimmed through most of the story.

I loved the story and characters in this so much, there were just a couple lines that had me going "yup this was written a decade ago"
