Why did no one tell me about T. Kingfisher sooner?! I need to read everything by them!

This is a 4.5. Funny and endearing. I don’t like romance novels and started this one without realizing that it is considered one. I was pleasantly surprised.

Good romance, good fantasy, compelling murder mystery. I was rooting for these characters.

I'm not normally a romance (or 'romantasy') reader, but this is a series I really enjoyed. T. Kingfisher is a really good writer, and has created a world here which has an interesting magical setting (a god who died, leaving his berserker paladin's behind? What a great concept!), but also knows not to take it too seriously. It's trope-y fun, but it is very fun.
