Creepy mystery thriller - super page turner. A retired detective is trying to help an old college friend solve the mystery of a series of threatening poems/letters where the letter writer claims to be able to read his victim's mind. Lots of clever clues to puzzle over, and surprises. I hope this is the start of a new series, because the author is very original (hard to be so in this genre)

A competently written (if this sounds like a backhanded compliment whenever I describe a book as such, it's because it is) mystery thriller, which honestly didn't make much more of an impression on me than the usual TV crime show episode. It's easy to read, very cinematic in that it doesn't really demand much of the reader - you get what's on the page and nothing else. I was disappointed by some aspects that went unexplored, but honestly, if including those would've made the book longer I think I should be thankful.

Kirjassa oli loppua kohden hyvä, tiivistyvä thrillerimäinen tunnelma. Alussa ehkä tuntui siltä, ettei kirja starttaa kunnolla ollenkaan, mutta hyvää kannatti odottaa. Hahmot kirjassa eivät ole mitenkään supersyvällisiä, mutta luulen, että sarjan edetessä heistäkin alkaa saada enemmän irti.

Demorei muito a entrar na história, uma das causas são as explicações expositivas que o autor faz. O protagonista tem de exaustivamente explicar as suas teorias e atitudes.
Quando me preocupei com a história e comecei a criar teorias, acertei em quase todas e isso inclui o assassino.
Este Thriller não é dos piores que já li, mas fica muito aquém daquilo a que estou habituada. Digamos que não aquece nem arrefece.
